About Us

Way back in 1999, our parents, Mr. Jose V. Blanco and Mrs. Loreto P. Blanco, lived for almost a year in a remote place in Quisao, Pililia, Rizal. There, they acquired a place very close to nature. It was a time they came face to face with the reality of poverty where parents sell parcels of land to send their children to school.

December 10, 2000, during our family get-together for our mother's birthday, the topic about establishing a school was opened by our mother. There was a disagreement at first that caused a commotion among the family. Some said that there were already 24 private schools in Angono but Nanay Loring said, “Yes it's true but if we are true to our intentions we will succeed.” That is to help others especially the less privileged whose only dream is to give their children proper education.

In the same year, the existing residential apartments were pulled down to give birth to the Blanco Family Academy. As promised by everyone, especially our mother, the classrooms were finished by March 31, 2001.

The logo! What about the school logo? Since the Blanco Logo of the ‘Royal Carp” or Red Carp” have been established with the family as artists, it was used as the school logo. As one can see, the fish has bright colors signifying “life”. Go ahead. Go near it. It might bite you.

The leaflets were distributed in April and May with the help of the pioneering teachers spearheaded by the principal. On June 4, 2001. the school was opened. The flag raised by the president Jose V. Blanco and the Directress, Mrs. Loreto P. Blanco. In its first year of operation, the total number of students reached 660 from pre-school to grade school.

Here, in our school, we’ve integrated different forms of art such as literature, painting, singing, and drama. We intend to bring out whatever talents the students have, be it in the field of sports, arts or academic. Here at Blanco Family Academy we’re all family - in heart, values, mission and vision leading to the Great Giver.
